Typically, deep brain stimulation is performed to treat patients with movement disorders or chronic pain. At UCLA, our experienced neurosurgery team has partnered with our Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science to offer this surgery to patients with treatment-resistant obsessive compulsive disorder.

At UCLA, our doctors are committed to medical research and clinical studies that find new ways to treat patients with the most advanced technologies available today. This unique program is a direct result of those efforts.
