Upcoming Neurosurgery Events at UCLA
The UCLA Department of Neurosurgery sponsors, attends, and/or participates in numerous Neurosurgery events during the course of every year. The list below details upcoming events in which UCLA staff will be involved. Some of the events are open to the public, while others are highly specialized seminars designed to enhance the knowledge of trained physicians and surgeons. When available, the event description will conclude with a link to websites devoted especially to the specific event.

UCLA Campus Neuroscience Research Building Auditorium (NRB) Los Angeles, California
This is a two-day conference designed to discuss innovative strategies and controversies for the treatment of critically ill patients with trauma, sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and brain injuries in the ICU of the future. We will provide updates on the fundamentals, but explore state-of-the-art controversies and late-breaking results from ongoing studies.

This conference will offer participants the opportunity to hear leading healthcare professionals speak about the latest treatments for brain tumors.
Attendees will also have a chance to learn about symptom management, community resources and social support. Representatives from brain tumor organizations, health advocacy agencies, and support groups will also be available to offer vital information and resources catering to the brain tumor community.

(TBI) Awareness Day Symposium >
The UCLA Brain Injury Research Center (BIRC) is providing a free one day sym-posium by leaders in the field of TBI. The event is open to everyone but geared toward MDs, NPs, RNs and Rehab professionals.
A review of Traumatic Brain Injury from concussion to severe injury, as well as the spectrum of TBI recov-ery, will be discussed. No CME or CE. Lunch will be provided.
