Clinical Programs / Meningioma and Skullbase Tumor Program

Skullbase Tumors - Meningioma and Skullbase Tumors

Overview

  • We use a multidisciplinary approach to these often complex and debilitating disorders featuring specialists in neurosurgery, neuro-otology, neuro-interventional radiology, and stereotactic radiosurgery.
  • Provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment of the following conditions:
    • Acoustic neuromas (schwannomas)
    • Petroclival and cavernous sinus meningioma
    • Chordomas
    • Metastatic skullbase tumors.

Features

  • Safer, less invasive techniques such as:
    • keyhole surgery
    • endoscopic-assisted surgery
    •  transsphenoidal surgery, including extended approaches for suprasellar and clival tumors
      (e.g. meningiomas, craniopharyngiomas, chordomas).
  • Stereotactic radiosurgery for surgically inaccessible, residual, or recurrent tumors.
  • Second opinions and follow-up evaluations for patients treated at other facilities.
